Egg cartoon creation

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.
For my egg cartoon creation, I used an egg carton, scissors, felt tip, pipe cleaners and a sharpie.
It was easy to do the Sharpie and to do the felt tip.
It was hard to cut the egg carton out and it was also hard to put the pipe cleaners
on my creation.
My aliens went to plan witch was great.
My aliens were easy to make and it was fun!

This week I have done a Matariki jigsaw. To do the jigsaw I had to draw a calendar, write three facts from fact card four, I had to draw a kite, fill in some missing words, what Matariki means in English,
what is another meaning of Matariki, what Matariki means in Japanese and what Matariki means in
Hawaiian. Doing this jigsaw was fun too.

Paper air-plan challenge

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be easy but then it got hard because I forgot how to make them but then I remembered.

I decided to use the design of folding it in half and then just keep folding and when I tested it was good.

The hardest part was to get the right design because it took me a long time to get it rite.

I got it on the runway a few times.

I named my paper air-plane Commodore Cohen.

Maths mystery week 10

This week for my maths mystery I worked by myself. This week the clues were a lot easier than last week's ones. This week it took me one and a half-days to finish.

Storyathon challenge

Today everybody in the class had to write a story on Storyathon and you have to write exactly 100 words and it took me a long time to get it right. This is my story. In isolation, my dad made me a motorbike track with danger tap and standards. I rid my motorbike around and around and then my mum got an idea her idea we to time her and me around the track and see who was the fastest. I went first and my time was 2 minutes and 45 seconds and mum got 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I started to ride around my track by myself and on one lap I all most crashed into a rock! That could end Bader. Then I got an idea and it was to use the rock as a jump.

Sick Sentences

This week for my Sick Sentences I had to write the nouns of the picture. The picture had a snail crawling throw a hole in a strawberry. This week I think I did the best I had ever done with my sick sentences.
The positive things would be...
not falling out of the strawberry and not letting a human pick up the strawberry.
The negative things would be...
The strawberry falling onto the moss, a human picking up the strawberry and taking a bite and a tree falling onto the strawberry.

Blog challenge

This is my blog challenge it was fun. There was nothing challenging. The funniest part was making an avatar for what I look like when I'm 19. For the blog challenge, I had to write what I would be when I grow up, who I would still be friends with, my biggest achievements and the places I would have visited.

Tennis ball challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Ben and Nathan.

At first, we had trouble choosing how we wanted to make it.

The easiest thing was putting the sellotape on the newspaper.

The best part of our tower was the hight of it it was 32cm tall.

Our tower looked good but it lent to the side a bit.

In the end our tower looked good.
