Henry's Birthday
Friday 27 March
Today it is day 2 of the level four lockdown. Yesterday it was Henry’s 2nd birthday. We had a good breakfast. We had hashbrowns, bacon and baked beans and Henry even had it all. Mum, Kalie and I spent all morning putting the cake together, but mum did all the work, we just decorated the cake and ate lollies. By lunchtime the cake was ready to eat so we had a sandwich and then opened presents and then finally had cake. Henry’s cake was a train. He had m&m’s, chocolate eggs and fruit puffs in the carriages. For Henry’s presents, he got two utes with trailers and a book from Suzanne, he got a card from Kalie and I, he got a mat for eating on from Mum and dad and got a puzzle from nana Brenda and poppa Mike.
Cooking dinner!
Thursday 26 March
For the last two nights, I have been in charge of cooking dinner. On Tuesday night I cooked nachos for dinner, with a little bit of help from Mum on when to do things. I cut the onion, fried the mince, put the chips and the mince on the plates, I put in the sauce and everyone ate it and liked it, except Kalie, she didn’t like the mince because she thought it was spicy. On Wednesday night, Mum taught me how to make a curry, (chicken tikka masala). It was a bit hard but also a little bit easy. Mum chopped up the chicken for me, but I did everything else. Check out my photos of both of my meals.

Chapter Challenge week 8 research centre
This week for chapter challenge I worked by myself it was challenging to find the facts and then put it into my own words. my favourite part of my research was that you can lean over Victoria falls. This is my research.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa.
It is the world’s biggest water in width it is 1,708 meters. Elevation: 885 meters and the height is 108 meters. Victoria falls opens at 6:am. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Victoria Falls has been throw a very bad drought and at the bottom, there was only two puddles and you could see all the rock you can’t see when the water is going down the waterfall. In a normal year, the average flow of water over Victoria Falls is 1,088,000 litres a second. The water that goes down Victoria falls come’s from the Zambezi river. You can swim in Victoria and you can lean over the edge of Victoria Falls. At the bottom of a waterfall, it is called a plunge pool.

This week in chapter challenge I did a way with words with Janko. We made an acrostic poem with the title of the book The Mapmakers race. We used google drawings to write it and to make it lock cool.
